Everything you need to get started playing golf!
The Hope Driver
You can play the game of golf, all while supporting Breast Cancer Research. When purchasing Wilson’s Hope Golf Set, they make a donation to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation (BCRF).
This set is incredibly stylish and incorporates everything ladies want in their clubs. Designed specifically for women players, these have a great feel, are lightweight and are very easy to play with. I don’t think you’ll be disappointed.
Tailored to women’s swing speeds, the Hope Set takes club length, grip size, and shaft flex into consideration, all specifically address characteristics of women players and their swing speed needs.
The Hope Driver has a angle of 14°, giving plenty of loft to get the ball far down the fairway off the tee. With these clubs on the lighter side, swing speed can be increased resulting in more power at impact – in other words, a longer drive!
Steel Shafted Irons 6-SW (6-7-8-9-PW-SW)
Beautifully designed cavity backed irons. With the perimeter weighted clubs, you get more “forgiveness” with your shots if your a bit off hitting the ball – definitely my kind of club.
With the inclusion of the hybrid club and fairway wood, you’ll not have to worry about clubs 2-5. The lower numbered distance irons are much harder to hit, so using the hybrids are a very good idea indeed.
Althought I have yet to try these personally, Wilson Hope Clubs look like some great women’s golf clubs with terrific reviews, and I’d consider them seriously for my own “buy” list. Here is just a small sampling of comments:

GREAT clubs for anyone
I’ve been golfing for years, it’s my husbands and my favorite hobby. A few years back my clubs were stolen and since I have young children and can’t get to the course much, I haven’t replaced my clubs til now. My husband and I went the other day and I have to say, these clubs are amazing. For not swinging a club in years I did very well. The clubs are the perfect size, perfect weight and are pretty forgiving. I don’t think theyre strictly beginner clubs at all. Like I said, I’ve been golfing for years and I love these clubs. The price is also amazing…you really can’t beat this purchase. GO WILSON 🙂

Great Clubs
Everyone thinks these are really nice, expensive golf clubs. I got them because I wanted to learn to golf, and for that purpose, they’ve been great. I like the variety in the set, I like the look of the set, and I think they hit well (from my amateur expertise). I would definitely recommend these to women who want to take up golfing as a hobby.

Thanks so much for this post. My dad absolutely loves, loves, loves, loves to golf and I think it would be a great way for us to bond. The only thing is that I don’t have my own clubs. Is this usually the going rate for clubs that are a little less than the best? Still seems like a lot of money… However, I get that you want quality and it does go toward a great cause!
Bonding with parents thru golf – that’s a topic I intend to cover!
On the subject of golf clubs and purchasing your own set, it all depends on how much you intend to play. Couple times a year, once a month, or every week. If you’re really serious and intend on playing regularly I would purchase new, otherwise buy used. You can read more about that topic here.
The price of these particular clubs is about average for “off the rack” clubs, and the fact that a portion goes to breast cancer is a plus. But as always, you want to make sure everything about the clubs is a good fit for you yourself – you’re the one who will be playing with them! … from here, the price goes up – there are clubs out there approaching $900-$1000! Golf is not a game without costs, but if you love the game getting the right clubs is important.
I hope you decide to play with your Dad – I guarantee it will be worth it!
If it’s one thing I know about Golf, it’s Wilson products. These clubs look absolutely stunning!
The fact that they incorporate a support system for Breast Cancer Research is wonderful!
I appreciate the time and work you put into the love of this game along with some great benefits towards charity.

I’m considering a set of clubs for my wife who is a beginner. These look like a perfect fit and proceeds going for a good cause, too! I like the fact you don’t try to push just the top of the line equipment onto someone, but, rather seem sincere in helping your customer choose the right club.

Hi Grant!
Thanks! – yeah, they’re a great set of clubs especially for the beginner. Seniors and those who just want a little less weight to their club should be very happy with these too. No need to spend money on an expensive set at this stage of the game. That’s for later on down the line if interest or number of times she intends to golf increases.
… I love that Wilson gives to this charity. It says a lot about a company that cares for others!
My mum has been thinking about joining the golf club in town. She is very interested with the sport and she believes she will be a more rounded woman by playing golf. I think this is a great article for her to begin with and I’m sure she will like the fact that it is aimed at supporting cancer patients. Nice article
HI Cheek
That’s great!
Golf offers a lot of benefits. It’s a great way to keep fit both physically and mentally, and it’s a game she can play well into her old age. She can meet a lot of people if she chooses, or play alone.
This set of clubs is a pretty good one to start with, and the clubs are easy to handle. The fact that they help support breast cancer research is an outstanding plus!
Tell her to have FUN!
Just by looking at the picture, the golf set looks gorgeous. And since it is designed for female beginners, i think this will be helpful to men as well who are starting to learn golf.
The price is promising. I wonder if it comes with the bag.
Thanks for the nice review.
Thanks for stopping by Raymond!
The fact is, women can use mens clubs and vice versa! You can read more about that on the Golf Equipment page.
But …. sometimes it’s easier for the ladies to just go straight to women’s clubs.
Aside from the look (prettier colors etc.), the only differences are that women’s clubs are already shorter, lighter, and generally have more loft to the woods (particularly the driver), which helps get the ball “up” in the air more giving greater distance.
In the end, it all depends on the individual person – man or woman. If ANY set of clubs don’t feel or fit right, they can be properly fitted quite easily.
Hey there, it’s Alexey
Women’s Hope Golf Clubs? I never heard about them before.
I really like that Wilson gives to fighting breast cancer, and these look like a real nice set of clubs too! The irons I’ll get are 6-9 plus the wedge? Just planning my first set now for myself & girlfriend.
A lot of value here.
Thanks!
Hi Alexey!
Yeah, I love it when companies support causes and Wilson has chosen well with breast cancer research.
The irons included are the 6-SW (6-7-8-9, Pitching Wedge & Sand Wedge).
Driver, fairway wood & hybrid – includes head covers (woods), and bag.
Hope that helps Alexey
