About the Author:

... lifetime lover of the game of golf! Had golfing parents that loved the game and were supportive of what talents (or not) us kids had or showed interest in. Lived alongside the 5th fairway of our local golf club in high school, which is where my "true" love affair with the sport began, and it has continued for 40 years!

Really enjoyed watching those girls from San Diego State!
I’ve never seen anything like that before. Great way to show that sports is still sometimes about fun and if it can be fun all the time how much better? I’m sure they work hard as well. Lovely background to the pose as well.

The Bohemian Rhapsody was great too.

    Way to Go!

The San Diego State girls golf team are awesome!
They did that video with very little time or rehearsal – incredible! Just goes to show you how talented they really are.
Hahaha, I’ve tried simply bouncing the golf ball with a club. It’s HARD!

… and I’m with YOU – Golf Should be FUN!
(ps – I loved the Bohemian Rhapsody parody too!)

I really like the idea of your site. In my country (UK), the is a lot of funding going into Women’s sports at the minute. This combines with success at the Olympics means that women’s sports are gaining in popularity.

Women need sources of inspiration to help them achieve their sporting goals and it will be an amazing achievement if you are able to help women get into Golf via this site.

My personal favorite clip above is the one where the guy does a mid air drive whilst jumping into a swimming pool. I certainly wouldn’t want him in my neighborhood and he also nearly cleaned the cameraman up.

      Hi Mark!
… and thanks for your comment.

After all this time, I think proper recognition for the sport of women’s golf is beginning to happen – it’s been a long time coming! The Olympics definitely helped in my opinion, and the new allegiance between the PGA & LPGA should bring a well needed “shot in the arm” as the saying goes.

It’s been incredible to watch the mens interest in women’s golf grow from one of pure “sexism” for most, to one of genuine interest in the game and the accomplishments that have been achieved – although you still find a lot of what men search for in this area (sexy hot golfers) truly distasteful and childish.

As far as the clips above I like them all, but really love the Bohemian Rhapsody golf parody – song is now stuck in my head for an undetermined period of time – hahaha!
